I started to play with winding it around itself and sewing as I went. I ended up with this flower. It is uneven, but I think it is a good idea. Now to figure out what to make with this flower....

Upcycling
My sister sent me an enormous box filled with various belts, scarves etc that had become separated from their original article of clothing. She works in a large department store and I guess that they just dispose of these items. She started to collect them for me so that I could use them to create new things. When the box arrived I could not believe how many items it contained. I could not believe the amount of waste as well. Last night, while watching TV, I decided I needed to tackle the job of sorting through that box. Some of them were easy. I knew exactly what I would use them for. Some were not as easy. There are a few tie belts made of fabric. The belt below is a wool blend tweed.

I started to play with winding it around itself and sewing as I went. I ended up with this flower. It is uneven, but I think it is a good idea. Now to figure out what to make with this flower....

You could put your beautiful tweed fleur on a headband. Blair would be proud...
