Oh, I confess. I am guilty. I said that I would not regularly visit Fritz Pastry and I found myself there again this weekend. I was sort of passing by the neighborhood so.... This time I tried the Gateau Breton. I guess that I do not need to comment on how wonderful this cake was. It was a nice dense buttery cake with the perfect crumb. I figured that I might as well confess now because I might be there next weekend to indulge a special guest from out of town. I will say it again. If you do not live here, you need to get to Chicago quickly. Absolute perfection.
