It's not easy being green

You might have noticed that I have not posted any food for awhile. I have a good reason that I will discuss in a few weeks. I can tell you that the majority of the pictures would be pretty monotone and consist of green liquids. However, it did entice me go to the farmer's market this weekend.
This spinach was so incredibly good that all I did was steam it and eat it plain. Now I will be going back next week to stock up on some more.
I would really like to be making this recipe from Smitten Kitchen. So, if anyone out there wants to make them and let me know how delicious they are I would greatly appreciate it. I would like to live vicariously through you right now.

This arugula will be used as an ingredient for a cold soup.

This is what my grocery cart looks like now. (Excuse all of the plastic) Let's see, there is watercress, yellow peaches, white peaches, nectarines, butternut squash, fresh red snapper and a package of soba noodles. Not very exciting, but in the end it does make some very delicious fresh food dishes.

That lovely basil became this yummy pesto today.
