Taking a breath

Well, for the first time in four years I was under the gun for my ornament swap. They have to be mailed by December 7 and I was still making them last night. Yes, I began to panic a little. I do not want to be the weak link in the chain. They are now finished for the most part, but I still need to add the hanging mechanism. I try and come up with my design ideas early on. I decided on this idea, but I did not factor in the amount of time it was going to take me to felt over ten of these Christmas seals. So, they are not exactly how I wanted them to be. Their bodies are not as formed as I would have liked. Their faces could use a little more definition and character.

I guess they are still a little too fuzzy. Normally, I would not post them until the swap was complete, but since Swap-Bot was used this year there is no way they will know who is sending them their ornament until they receive it.
So, I will have to just finish them up and get them in the mail. I accept my Christmas seals in all of their imperfect glory. Umm, I hope the recipients do too.

they are still very cute, arawa.

did you needle (pinprick) them to shape them?

Hi Ai:
Yes, they were shaped with a felting needle. A very dangerous instrument when placed in my hands.

Arawa, thank you for the seal pup! It is SO adorable, I almost started crying when I opened it. Seriously. It is perfect.

Now, I am going to spend some time poking around your cute blog.. :)
