Horse Head Re-do

 I bought these wooden horse head bookends awhile ago and had them for sale in my shop.  I wasn't in love with them for myself, but then I was reading some shelter magazine and I saw a similar pair in a photo shoot that was a matte black and I really liked them.  I decided to try and transform the pair I had.

I bought some matte black spray paint and went to work on them since these are the final days of temperatures that are spray paint friendly.  I admit I have gone a little crazy with the matte black spray paint.  I will have another post of a makeover done with the same paint.

These are my newly reworked bookends.  They seem a little less creepy now that they have the matte black finish.
