One of the things I miss about living in a house is that I can no longer have a garden. Our complex does not even have a patch of non-grassy land large enough to plant one. The inner courtyards do not get enough sunshine to make a container garden possible and my windows are of the tilting variety so I cannot have a window planter. Luckily, my mother still has a huge yard. She brought me some of her iris blooms the other day. I miss being able to step outside in the morning and put together my own bouquet. For now, I will have to get by with the farmer's market.
