In my attempt to add some color, I am thinking of creating a granny square pillow cover. I saw one that someone had made and posted on flickr. Since I have little to no crochet skills, I have enlisted the help of a friend of my mother. I just handed over the instructions (which I found here) and a bunch of yarn. These are the first 2 samples that she made for me. I am very happy with them. Since I am letting her just make her own decisions about the color scheme, I will not know what materials I will have until she hands them over to me. I doubt that I will be disappointed.
