Dye job pt.2


I let it brew in the Kool*Aid on the windowsill for a couple of days. These are the results. As you can see, they vary from one to the other. Although, those that were purchased together and are made from the same material seemed to absorb the dye equally.

These turned out the brightest orange.


These were a little bit softer orange


This one did not really take in the dye at all. It just made it looked more aged than before.


I think it was a worthwhile experiment. It was a lot cheaper than buying Rit and you are able to do it in a jar on your windowsill. Also, Kool*Aid is a lot less toxic than Rit.
