I have started volunteering for a literacy program. The sessions are 3 hours a week. In the middle of the session we take a break when refreshments are served. Unfortunately, they have a very small budget and the cookies they offer leave a lot to be desired. They are store bought and really, I am not sure what store they are from. They are like eating sawdust. To me, that is a crime. I have taken it upon myself to bake cookies and bring them every week. So, every Friday I will share which cookie will be offered. This week will be the brownie roll out cookies from Smitten Kitchen which can be found here. They are good. Soft and chewy and oh so chocolaty. Not only are the cookies good, but the dough is addictive. If you are thinking of licking the spatula....don't do it.

Also because of the band named Sepultura, somehow I can never remember the word spatula. Weird, but it's true. And I don't even listen to Sepultura.
