Spreading the luck

A few months ago, the diva e-mailed me and joked about having me do some personal deal shopping for her. I told her if there were specific things she was looking for I would be glad to see if I could find them for her on one of my treasure hunting adventures. She said that she would like some vintage lotus bowls and gave me a price point. This weekend I was still looking for that winter coat when, there they were. I grabbed them right away.

I was pretty happy that I was able to find something that someone else really wanted. Later that day I was at another thrift store, bought a few things and left. In the car as I was pulling out of the parking lot my Mom decides to ask me, "Did you see those bowls in there like the ones you just bought?" Uh.....No. Do you think she could have mentioned that while I was still in the store or at least before I had pulled out of the parking lot? U-turn. Back in the store with my Mom leading the way to the bowls. "I know they were on one of the shelves facing this way....." We meandered the houseware aisles a few times. OK, is anyone else relating to this? Finally, we find them and look over each one for imperfections or chips. Once satisfied with our purchase we leave....again. So now, I have an even bigger selection for the diva to choose from. There are two sizes to choose from. I think I did pretty good, don't you? The Diva is just learning of this information as I post this so I hope that she is happy as well.
