Hallway lighting

This is the non-descript ceiling light in the hallway connecting all of the rooms in my home. (Sorry for the crappy photo). 5 doorways open into this hall. It is just a plain round ball pendant light.

I found this at the thrift store for $5. I think it might make a decent replacement. No big statement, but a little more interesting.
