Buried Treasure pt.2
This vibrant vintage fabric is made by Knoll. I do not know what I will do with it. I might stretch frame it.

Buried Treasure
After the purging of my storage space following the yard sale I decided i needed to periodically go down there and really see what is left down there. A week or so ago I went down there to dig through my fabric stash. It was a matter of inventory as well as a matter of preservation. I had noticed evidence that we have had some small uninvited visitors partying in our storage spaces so I thought better to remove anything I did not want to get in harms way. I decided that I needed to get any of my good fabric out of there mad moved into my workspace. I have documented some of it here. I know that I also have some other patterns already in my workspace. Please excuse the wrinkles. If you have no interest in fabric you can stop reading now. All of this is Marimekko. I had no idea that I had collected so much over the years. I have the tiniest scraps to large bolts of some. It was a nice surprise to find these.

Camera Obscura
This is not so much a skeleton in my closet, but I did find it in one of my boxes. No, I did not post a picture of a ratty oatmeal box to share with you. This is a pinhole camera that I made with my friend Suzanne. It brough back so many good memories of a very dear friend. I can tell by the expiration date of the box that we made it some time in 1996. Suzanne and I met in France when we lived together in Giverny for the summer. We were both awarded fellowships by the Terra Foundation to live in Giverny and produce artwork. She is an incredibly talented book artist. She also does some amazing work with pinhole images. If you live in the D.C. area you should definitely sign up for one of her classes at Paper Source. I see that she has one coming up in September. She does beautiful work and is an excellent teacher.

Skeletons in my closet - Music
This weekend I was over at my Mom's house digging through some boxes in the basement. I only know that the boxes contain some of my possessions, I have no idea what each box contains. Another family member was the one who threw all of my stuff haphazardly into these boxes and then placed them in the cold, dark basement. (No, really, I'm not bitter.) I started to find some interesting stuff. Some of it really good. Some of it just amusing. A lot of it junk now. Anyway, I was able to find one box of my old albums. Not the ones I was looking for. I am still in search of my Jackson 5 albums. I have decided to add another category to my posts. They will be categorized as "Skeletons in my closet" because some of it ain't pretty. I offer you the above. That's right, Haysi Fantayzee. I do not even recall purchasing this much less listening to it.
Oh, I do remember the Go-Go's.
